Getting your letters ready…
A FEW SIMPLE RULES

How to Play Zanagrams

  1. 1

    Follow the connected letters

In Zanagrams, follow the visible lines to spell a word of at least four letters. Drag, tap each letter, or type your word below the board.

  2. 2

    Find the required words

Found a word? Letters and lines disappear when no remaining word needs them. Shared letters stay until their last word is found.

  3. 3

    Clear the board

Find every required word to finish your Zanagrams puzzle. Bonus words are optional extras. No countdown, no rush — a hint is always there if you need it.

Why do some letters stay on the Zanagrams board?

Finding a word in Zanagrams does not always remove every letter in its path. Letters can belong to several required words, so a shared letter stays until its last word is found. These screenshots show Practice puzzle 1 before and after finding AVATAR: one letter disappears, while five letters from that word remain available for other answers.

Zanagrams Daily and Practice Modes

One daily challenge

Everyone playing on Zanagrams.app gets the same board for a given UTC date. The daily challenge changes at midnight UTC, so your local calendar may show a different date. Your unfinished game is saved in this browser when storage is available. The current daily collection contains 14 puzzles and repeats after 14 days.

Keep exploring in Practice

Zanagrams Practice has a separate collection of 17 puzzles. Use Previous puzzle and Next puzzle to explore at your own pace, with no need to finish a daily challenge first. Each position has its own saved progress. Switching between Daily and Practice keeps your work in both modes, so you can return to an unfinished board.

Zanagrams Unlimited: Play Without the Daily Wait

Zanagrams unlimited means repeatable Practice rounds with no daily play limit. Play the 17-puzzle collection without an account or payment, then start the same collection again with a fresh attempt at each position. There is no need to wait for tomorrow, but the set does not provide an endless supply of different puzzles.

On your next Zanagrams round, try a different opening word or solve with fewer hints. The connections stay the same, but a familiar board can help you practise spotting paths. You can also go back to earlier positions to see the progress you left there.

Zanagrams Answers Today

Need help with today’s Zanagrams puzzle? Start with Hint on the board to highlight a starting letter; another hint extends the path. If you prefer to look up the solutions, open the list below. It contains the required answers for the daily board on Zanagrams.app, not the schedule of another Zanagrams website or the separate iOS game.

Spoilers ahead. Bonus words are optional and are not included here. Looking up Zanagrams answers does not fill in your board or mark it complete. To reveal and add a word inside the game, use Hint, then Reveal word. A daily game completed with that in-game reveal does not count toward your local streak.

Zanagrams Tips and Strategy

Look for a path, not just a word

In Zanagrams, two nearby letters are not necessarily connected. Follow the visible lines and check each step before submitting. A word must use at least four letters, and a tile cannot be used twice in the same word. Typing a word still checks it against the remaining paths on the board.

Start where there are fewer choices

Start a Zanagrams puzzle with an unusual letter or a tile with only one connection to narrow your search. Look for a short word near an edge, then inspect the space it leaves behind. Common endings such as -ING or -ER are useful clues only when their letters have a connected path.

Change your view when you get stuck

Rotate your Zanagrams board to see the same connections from another angle. Rotation does not change the answers. After a successful find, scan the remaining lines again: the simpler shape may make the next word easier to see. Use a hint when you want a small nudge instead of a full solution.

Zanagrams FAQ

Is Zanagrams free to play online?

Yes. Zanagrams Daily and Practice are free in your browser, with no download, account, or payment required. This is a connected-letter word puzzle adapted from PZL games. It is separate from the same-name iOS app that uses groups of letters and trivia clues.

Can I play Zanagrams on my phone or with a keyboard?

You can drag across letters with a mouse or touch, tap letters in order, or type in the word field. Press Enter to check a typed word, Backspace to remove a letter, and Escape to clear your selection. All input methods follow the same visible connections.

Do I need every possible word to finish Zanagrams?

No. Complete a Zanagrams puzzle by finding the required words shown by the progress counter. Accepted bonus words are optional extras and do not clear letters. A word can exist in a dictionary and still be absent from this puzzle’s required and bonus word lists.

Does Zanagrams have a time limit?

There is no time limit for solving a board. The Daily countdown shows when the next UTC day begins, not how long you have to submit a word. If you want to continue without waiting, switch to Practice and choose another puzzle.

Where is my Zanagrams progress saved?

Progress stays in local storage in this browser. It does not sync between devices or browsers. Clearing site data removes local progress; private browsing may discard it when the session ends. If saving is unavailable, the game shows a warning so you know your work may not be kept.
